Are you a compassionate and organized medical professional looking for a rewarding opportunity in a school environment? A vibrant secondary school in Wandsworth is seeking a Medical Lead to join their team ASAP. This is a full-time position with the potential to be either temporary or permanent. You must have an Enhanced DBS.

Role expectation:

As the Medical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the health and well-being of students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing first aid and managing day-to-day medical needs for students.
  • Responding promptly and effectively to medical incidents and emergencies.
  • Keeping detailed and accurate records of incidents on the school system.
  • Supporting students with ongoing medical conditions, ensuring they receive appropriate care and guidance.
  • Promoting a safe and healthy school environment in collaboration with staff and parents.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a school nurse, medical practitioner, or similar role.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage medical records and handle emergencies efficiently.
  • A caring and approachable demeanour, with strong communication skills to engage with students, staff, and families.
  • A valid first aid qualification.
  • An Enhanced DBS.
