Sanza Teaching Agency is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a diverse and welcoming primary school in Haringey. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil with Autism. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference in a child's learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored 1:1 support to a child with Autism, focusing on their educational and emotional development.
Assist the class teacher in implementing individualised strategies to meet the child's needs.
Support the child with social interaction, communication, and sensory integration.
Help the pupil engage with learning activities, manage behaviour, and follow routines.
Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment, promoting independence and confidence in the child.
Monitor and record the child's progress, working closely with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals.

Requirements:

Experience working with children with Autism and/or special educational needs in a primary school setting.
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting children with additional needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.
A passion for working in SEND and a commitment to helping children thrive.
Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, SEN qualifications) are desirable but not essential.
