Specialist Teaching Assistant
Location: Haringey
Full Time, Long Term
Monday - Friday (08:30AM - 4:00PM)
Rate of Pay: 80 - 95 per day
We are seeking a resilient and passionate individual to join our Ofsted "Good" rated school in Haringey as a Specialist Teaching Assistant.
In this role, you will be working on a 1:1 basis with Autistic learners aged 16-25 years. You will provide support to learners so that they can access the curriculum whilst also promoting their independence and self-esteem through community led activities.
The role is available starting as soon as possible.
What we are looking for:
* Experience working with children with challenging behaviours and special educational needs.
* Strong understanding of Behavioural Support Plans and Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
* Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs or equivalent experience preferred.
* Support and manage students with challenging behaviours in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
* Implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavioural Support Plans.
* Collaborate with teachers to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
