Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for new opportunities in London?
Winner Education are seeking Teaching Assistant’s to work in primary & secondary schools based in the London area. We are looking for candidates who are open to working day to day, short term and long-term placements. The successful applicant must have previous experience in providing general classroom support as well as 1:1 or small group interventions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs
- Provide general classroom support to the class teacher
- Assist the main class teacher in lesson preparation and classroom set up
- Tailor learning materials to the requirement of individual learners
- Assist with pupil progress reports
- Liaise with outside agencies when required
- Support the class teacher with pupil assessments
The successful teaching assistant will have:
- A minimum of Level 2/3 qualification in teaching assisting
- Previous experience working in primary and secondary schools
- Strong resilience and patience
- Desirable: Previous SEN experience of supporting children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and challenging behaviours. This is not mandatory
