Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Newham, London

LTF Recruitment is looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Newham, London.

This secondary school has a strong focus on student well-being and academic success, offering a range of support to students who require extra assistance. The school is known for its inclusive ethos and excellent SEN provision, with state-of-the-art facilities designed to help students succeed. As part of their supportive staff team, you will play a key role in working with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping to meet their individual learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide support to students in the classroom, helping them with their learning and development
Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management
Offer 1:1 or small group support for students who may need extra help with their studies
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers
Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a safe and productive learning environment
Support students with social, emotional, and academic challenges

Essential Criteria:

Experience working with young people in a secondary school or similar environment
Strong communication and organisational skills
A patient and supportive approach, with a passion for helping students succeed
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff

Desirable Criteria:

Experience working with students with SEN
Knowledge of behaviour management strategies

Additional Information:

Full-time, Monday to Friday
Paid 95 - 105 per day, term time only
Based in Newham, London
