Location: Woodford, IG8 | Pay: 90 - 100 per day | Contract: Temp to Perm | Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our primary school in Woodford. This is a great opportunity to support pupils' learning and personal growth in a friendly and engaging environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the class teacher to plan and deliver interactive lessons.
  • Provide focused support to individual pupils and small groups, helping them achieve their academic targets.
  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Help prepare teaching materials and ensure the classroom is organised and ready for each lesson.
  • Supervise pupils during lessons, playtime, and school outings, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
  • Offer tailored support to children with special educational needs (SEN), adapting activities to meet their individual requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and carers to ensure consistent support for each pupil.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a primary school setting is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children's development.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
