SEN Teaching Assistant | Ealing | 90 - 105 per day | January Start

An outstanding primary school based in Ealing are searching for SEN Teaching Assistants to join their dedicated team starting in January 2025. All roles will be full time positions for the entire academic year. For the right person, this role will be made permanent.

When working for the school, you will be working across EYFS / KS1 & KS2 to support students with additional needs. You will support 1:1 and in small groups both in and outside the classroom. You will need a strong understanding of SEN and a calm, reassuring nature. In return, the school will offer in house training, CPD courses and a great community spirit within the team.

Other roles may include:

  • Understanding the individual needs of students, you are working with and be able to frame interventions around specific needs
  • Motivating and encouraging the students as required by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with learning tasks
  • Liaising with class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals about individual education plans (IEPs), contributing to the planning and delivery as appropriate
  • Helping to make appropriate resources to support the pupil
  • Monitor the pupil's response to the learning activities and modify or adapt the activities to best support
