Horizon Teachers are delighted to be working with a fantastic SEND provision based in Barnet, North-West London. The facility is a provision of a mainstream primary school for children ages 5-11 with Autism. They are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who is able to come in and have a positive impact on the children through clear communication, a deep understanding, and a positive mentality.

The provision is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant with good experience working with children who have special needs. They require someone who has a good understanding of the different needs that the children may have and is able to adjust their approach accordingly in order to best benefit the student. The school aims to provide an environment where the needs of all children are met despite their differences and unique requirements. They are hoping to achieve this with the appointment of an experienced Teaching Assistant who is able to make the classroom more adaptable for all SEN children.

The school is seeking someone with:
  • Experience working in a setting for children with autism.
  • Experience in an alternatice resourced provision or SEND school
  • The ability to take the initiative and engage with children to support them in their work and play.
