SEN Teaching Assistant - Role Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Autism and behavioural challenges.
Assist in implementing positive behaviour strategies and structured learning routines.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to create tailored learning approaches.
Support pupils in developing social skills, communication, and emotional regulation.
Adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual student needs.
SEN Teaching Assistant - Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or supporting children with Autism.
Psychology graduates with a strong understanding of behavioural and emotional needs are encouraged to apply.
Familiarity with PECS, Makaton, or sensory-based interventions is advantageous.
A patient, understanding, and proactive attitude.
