Job Advert: Supply Teaching Assistant (Reception to Year 6) - Haringey
Sanza Teaching Agency is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and diverse primary school in Haringey! We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Supply Teaching Assistant to join their team and provide flexible cover across Reception to Year 6. This role will also involve 1:1 support for students with special needs, making it a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in children's learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom support across Reception to Year 6, assisting with lessons and activities.
- Deliver 1:1 support for students with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
- Assist with planning and delivering interventions, supporting the teacher with the overall learning environment.
- Help manage behaviour in line with the school's policy and create a positive, inclusive atmosphere.
- Support pupils in both their academic progress and emotional well-being.
- Liaise with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to implement EHCPs and IEPs.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children in a primary school setting, ideally from Reception to Year 6.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs (SEN).
- Flexibility to adapt to different classrooms and provide effective 1:1 support.
- Ability to work well as part of a team, maintaining a positive attitude in a busy and rewarding environment.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to student engagement.
