About Us:
Our Ofsted Outstanding client school in the Borough of Southwark is looking for a Year 3 Teaching Assistant for an ASAP start. They pride themselves on the behaviour of their pupils. The SENDCo is now looking for an experienced Year 3 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with ASD. This is a one form entry, Church School.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the classroom teacher in supporting a SEN pupil.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Provide one-on-one support to a child with Autism.
- Provide feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement.
Requirements:
- Qualifications:Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Experience:Previous experience working within a classroom as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant.
- Knowledge:Understanding of Autism and supporting pupils accordingly.
- Desirable:Experience working with children in a school setting.
