Assistant Block Manager

We are looking for a motivated and dependable individual to join our team as an Assistant Block Manager. The RoleAs an Assistant Block Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day management of a property portfolio. Your responsibilities will include providing administrative assistance, ensuring properties meet health and safety standards, and contributing to the smooth operation of our services. You'll work closely with the team to deliver exceptional service to clients and residents.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources & Onsite Staff Support

  • Act as the primary point of contact for onsite staff, providing daily assistance and guidance.
  • Manage annual leave, sick days, and coordinate staff schedules.
  • Process expense claims and overtime submissions for payroll.
  • Assist in recruitment processes and onboarding of new team members.
  • Organise training courses and track staff engagement.
  • Maintain up-to-date staff profiles and manage uniform orders.

Health & Safety Compliance

  • Coordinate Fire, Health, and Safety surveys for both residential and commercial properties.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and assist in responding to related queries.
  • Compile and manage reports for individual buildings and projects.
  • Maintain accurate records, including certification documents and compliance trackers.
  • Handle inquiries from contractors and staff regarding health and safety matters.

Administrative Support

  • Provide general administrative assistance to the property management team.
  • Liaise with contractors and clients to facilitate efficient communication and timely resolutions.
  • Update and maintain records in property management systems such as Qube and Dwellant (prior experience is beneficial but not essential).

Skills and Qualities Required

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • A proactive attitude, with strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic computer skills are required, with prior experience in property management software being advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing as a team player.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience in an administrative or property management role is desirable but not essential.
