As the Housing Manager, you will be responsible for managing their Old Street scheme and providing a high-quality housing management service to residents. This includes ensuring proper administration, maintenance, and building safety in accordance with organisational values and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Housing Officers, Maintenance Officer, and Fire Wardens
  • Provide a friendly and professional service to residents, ensuring the highest standards of customer care
  • Manage tenancies and occupancy levels, minimising void loss and arrears
  • Foster resident involvement and deliver the organisation's strategy
  • Handle serious incidents, anti-social behaviour, and complaints efficiently and effectively
  • Develop relationships with external partners and provide guidance to residents on various issues

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience, including staff management, void control, and budget management
  • Strong knowledge of housing legislation, building safety regulations, and best practises
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
  • Ability to plan, prioritise, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office and databases
  • Commitment to high standards in resident involvement, diversity, and customer care
