Are you an exceptional housing management professional? I am currently recruiting for a leading East London organisation in the housing sector, who are seeking an experienced and dedicated Tenant Verification Officer (Housing) to join their team for a 6-month temporary assignment. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in communities while providing top-tier housing management support.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Tenant Verification Officer, you will:

  • Ensure all properties within your portfolio are safe, well-maintained, and compliant with housing regulations.
  • Carry out audit checks, verify ids, check condition of properties and follow up on absence and deal with vulnerable and general needs tenants
  • Check to see if properties are being utilised by illegitimate tenants. (cuckooing)
  • Manage tenancy and leasehold issues, including addressing resident inquiries and conducting property inspections.
  • Promote resident involvement by fostering positive relationships with tenants and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of repairs and maintenance concerns.
  • Identify and check high rise building properties across 5 sites in the East London area.
About You:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Proven experience in housing management or a related field.
  • A strong understanding of tenancy agreements, leasehold management, and relevant housing legislation.
  • Keen to go to different sites and have a passion for working with residents
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to engage effectively with residents and stakeholders.
  • Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in housing management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
