Payroll Assistant Manager

Are you an Assistant Payroll Manager or Payroll Supervisor with a strong background in payroll management from practice? Then this role is for you!

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Supervise the Payroll team, ensuring accurate and high-quality service delivery to clients.
  • Review team processing and serve as the first point of contact for technical queries.
  • Manage a small portfolio of client payrolls, including new client set-ups.
  • Identify and implement improvements to payroll procedures and team operations.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with the Payroll Manager to discuss service issues and solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with new payroll legislation and compliance, ensuring the team and client payrolls are informed and adjusted accordingly.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience leading a payroll team.
  • Good understanding of payroll legislations and compliances.
  • Excellent communication skills across all channels.
  • Working knowledge of auto-enrolment legislations is essential.
  • Ability to calculate PAYE and NIC manually is essential.
