Our client is an ambitious PE backed high growth Professional Services business that has seen the headcount population grow by 100% over the last couple of years.  Due to this growth they are now looking to recruit a highly skilled Chief People officer to join the business.The Chief People Officer will head up and manager all aspects of the businesses Human Resource’s function.  You will work with the CEO and board and  will develop and implement people strategies, policies, and programs that align with the businesses overall future objectives and support a positive high performance work culture.You will be responsible for improving recruiting and onboarding, talent management, performance management and recognition, training and development, compensation and benefits, employee well-being and retention as well as overall organizational development.  You will report to the CEO and work closely with all other members of the Executive Leadership Team.General Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing and business focused HR team
  • Partner with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to support the companies  mission, vision, corporate strategy, values and financial and operational ambition from an HR perspective
  • Develop and implement leading HR strategy, policies, with short and long-term HR initiatives that support the company's business objectives
  • Support the creation and promotion of a positive and engaging work culture
  • Oversee Specialist areas of HR including the recruitment, selection and onboarding processes for new employees
  • Develop practices that encourage an accountable, engaged, and high-performing workforce reflecting the mission, values, and culture of the company
  • Lead the development and implementation of performance management and talent management, including goal setting, feedback, and career development/succession planning for employees at all levels
  • Development and implementation of employee engagement and retention programs, incl. training and development
  • Develop and manage compensation and benefits programs that are competitive and equitable including a total rewards plan that attracts, motivates, and retains staff
  • Oversee employee relations and communication
  • Manage HR budget and resources
  • Report HR KPIs and initiative progress to Executive Leadership team and Board
  • Work closely with the board to align People and Social priorities

Qualifications:

  • CIPD Qualified or bachelor’s degree in human resources
  • A proven background of experience in a CPO role across all relevant HR domains
  • Will have a background in a CPO role across Professional Services
  • Previous experience working in large and medium-sized companies, preferably with private equity ownership experience
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business objectives
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Experience leading recruitment and selection processes
  • Senior level management of employee relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions including settlement management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive work relationships
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with prior experience managing a geographically dispersed HR team
  • Ability to be a “hands on/roll up your sleeves” leader.
