Graduate Recruitment Manager (12 month FTC)

A global law firm is seeking to hire a Graduate Recruitment Manager on an initial 12-month fixed term contract based in the London office.   This is a great opportunity for an existing Senior Advisor stepping up into a Manager role to assist in providing first-class client service in all aspects of Solicitor Apprentice and Trainee Solicitor attraction, recruitment, and pastoral care.  This role will work across both the Recruitment and Development within the team, focusing specifically on the Development of the existing trainees.

  • Salary up to £60,000 per annum
  • Working hours 09:30 – 17:30 (Monday-Friday)
  • Hybrid working (3 days in the office / 2 days remote)

Key Responsibilities of the Graduate Recruitment Manager:

  • Manage and lead the Solicitor Apprentice Scheme and oversee the welfare and development of 40 trainee solicitors
  • Work closely with the Graduate Partners to maintain high standards in the trainee programme
  • Manage the seat rotation process including international and client secondments
  • Collaborate with the Talent Development team to ensure individual and departmental training needs, along with regulatory requirements, are met
  • Manage the Trainee Solicitor qualification process and oversee all SRA paperwork

Skills and Requirements of the Graduate Recruitment Manager:

  • Proven leadership and managerial experience
  • Demonstrated experience in an early talent role, ideally within legal
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with strong communication abilities
  • Knowledge of Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) and Level 7 Apprenticeships
  • Ability to manage multiple programmes and projects concurrently
