We are working with a leading independent bridging finance provider based in London. With a strong presence in the market, they specialise in offering fast and flexible bridging loans and buy-to-let mortgages.

We are seeking to find a highly skilled and strategic Head of Human Resources to lead the HR function. This is a key leadership role, it is responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that align with the company's business goals, ensuring a high performing, engaged workforce, and fostering a positive organisational culture.

The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in HR leadership, with a focus on talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, and organisational effectiveness within the finance industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Strategy Development: Lead the HR department, overseeing a team of HR professionals and working closely with the Chief of Staff to align HR initiatives with the company’s business objectives.
  • Talent Management: Oversee recruitment and retention strategies, ensuring the attraction, development, and retention of top talent in the finance industry. Develop succession planning and career progression frameworks.
  • Employee Engagement & Culture: Foster a positive and inclusive company culture. Lead employee engagement initiatives and implement programs to maintain a high level of morale, motivation, and productivity.
  • Performance Management: Design and implement effective performance management systems that drive individual and team success, aligning employee goals with organisational objectives.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, especially in relation to employment practices, compensation, benefits, and diversity and inclusion.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Manage compensation and benefits strategies, ensuring competitiveness within the industry and alignment with company financial goals.
  • Training & Development: Oversee employee learning and development programs to enhance skills, improve performance, and prepare staff for future roles.
  • HR Technology & Systems: Leverage HR technology and data analytics to enhance decision-making and optimise HR processes.
  • Advisory Role: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on organizational and people-related matters, offering insights into best practices, change management, and business transformation.

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in an HR leadership role within the finance or financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, compensation, benefits, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Proven experience in managing HR teams and driving change within a dynamic, fast paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and leverage HR analytics to improve decision-making.
  • Proven track record in talent acquisition, employee retention, and employee development.
  • Experience in overseeing organisational change, restructuring, and process improvement initiatives.
