About The Company:

Our client is a UK leader in audio-visual services, specialising in events ranging from concerts, weddings to large-scale corporate functions. Operating nationwide, they work with both private and public sector clients, delivering unrivalled AV support for significant life moments and major events.

The business has experienced impressive growth in recent years, with current sales at £5 million, and a sustainable long-term growth strategy in place. They are now looking to add a new HR Manager to their expanding team.

HR Manager – The Role:

This is a stand-alone HR Manager, reporting directly to the CEO and offering proactive and hands-on HR support to line managers and approximately 80 employees across the business. This is a stand-alone role, covering all aspects of operational HR, including managing the full employee life cycle, handling employee relations at all levels, and overseeing HR administration as needed. This is an opportunity to establish a HR function from the ground up and make a meaningful impact to a scaling business.

HR Manager – Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute HR strategies and initiatives that align with the broader business objectives

- Lead the recruitment and selection process, guiding managers on best practices

- Support the business's current and future needs by fostering employee development, engagement, motivation, and retention

- Create and oversee HR strategies, systems, and processes across the organisation

- Cultivate a positive workplace culture, with an emphasis on well-being initiatives

- Support technical staff and contractors

- Manage the performance appraisal system to promote and sustain high performance

- Administer the pay structure and benefits programme

HR Manager – You:

- Proven experience as an HR Manager in a stand-alone role

- CIPD Level 5 qualified or above

- Experience within a small, growing business, preferably in a technology-focused environment

- Strong knowledge of Employment Law and HR best practices

- Previous recruitment experience or experience in supporting the recruitment function

- Experience setting up an HR function from scratch would be a bonus

- Highly organised and people-focused

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
