HR & Operations Manager, £40-50k, 1 day a week in London office, Full-time, PermanentYour new companyWorking for a London-based EV company, looking for their 1st in HR and operations manager. Company size 30, looking to grow to 80+ in 2025.Your new roleEnd to end HR - including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding. This role will also include facilities management and managing office vendor relationships. You'll be responsible for the creation and updating of employee policies and handbooks.

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding for new employees.
  • Develop and implement company policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with labour laws and company goals.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, including performance reviews, training programs, and development opportunities.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee relations issues, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts where needed.
  • Policy Development & Compliance: Update and maintain employee handbook, ensuring all policies are clear, comprehensive, and compliant with relevant legislation. Monitor adherence to workplace safety standards and legal requirements.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in HR, office management, or a similar role.
  • You'll need experience in the automotive, engineering or a start-up environment.
  • Have experience of managing a remote, field-based workforce within most recent job
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labour laws, and recruitment strategies.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software/systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
