As the HR Manager for this growing design practice you will be the main point of contact for all HR related matters. You will work closely with the COO and wider leadership team and will have the opportunity to really make the role your own.You will focus on recruitment ensuring compliance with UK immigration laws for international hires, employee relations, and the administration of compensation and benefits. You will also oversee VISA applications, manage sponsorship, and support the studio's efforts to attract and retain global talent while fostering a positive employee experience and maintain compliance with employment policies and providing an end to end service.Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, and interviewing.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of job descriptions and contractual appointment documents.
  • Support hiring managers in identifying and selecting candidates that align with the studio’s needs and culture
  • Oversee and maintain all company policies and procedures, ensuring all in line with statutory requirements
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee concerns and provide guidance on HR policies.
  • Manage performance improvement plans from end to end as required
  • Organise and implement engagement initiatives, such as team-building events, feedback surveys, and recognition programs.
  • Oversee the administration of payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in collaboration with the finance team.
  • Manage and maintain benefits programs, including enrollments, renewals, and employee inquiries.
  • Manage all aspects of UK immigration compliance, including tracking visa expiry dates and work permit statuses.
  • Maintain accurate records of all international employees and their VISA statuses.
  • Develop and monitor HR policies and procedures,
  • Oversee on-boarding and off-boarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions for employees
  • Training and developement

Skills and Experience

  • CIPD qualified or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • Excellent generalist HR experience including employee relations, learning and development, benefits, change management and recruitment
  • Passion for EDI and supporting employee’s mental health and wellbeing
  • Ideally experienced in a standalone role with the ability to work independently and proactively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to form effective working relationships based on trust at all levels
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and HR Systems (current HRIS - Rapport 3)
