We are looking for an experienced and dynamic HR Manager to lead our HR operations for the UK and ROI retail teams. As a strategic business partner, you will support retail teams in key areas such as employee relations, learning and development, employee engagement, and HR strategy. This role is pivotal in ensuring our HR practices align with business objectives while fostering growth, efficiency, and a positive workplace culture across the retail division.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to retail teams, providing coaching and guidance on employee relations, performance management, and HR processes.
- Collaborate across HR functions—including reward, L&D, engagement, and employee relations—to deliver solutions aligned with business needs.
- Promote a positive workplace culture by driving employee engagement initiatives that reflect the company’s values and goals.
- Partner with regional managers to identify learning and development needs, implement targeted training programs, and maintain an annual L&D calendar.
- Ensure compliance with UK employment law by updating contracts, policies, and documentation to reflect regulatory changes.
- Work with regional managers and the Retail Director to optimize operational structures, enhancing efficiency while maintaining quality.
- Lead and mentor your HR team, ensuring they deliver effective, high-quality HR support to retail teams.
- Analyse HR metrics, identify trends, and recommend improvements to optimize processes and support business objectives.
- Lead HR projects specific to the retail sector, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives.
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition Team to implement succession strategies that support business growth and talent development.
- Manage retail payroll submissions, annual salary reviews, National Minimum Wage adjustments, and related pay processes.
- Oversee HR operations for store openings and closures, ensuring consistency in communication and processes.
- Proficiency with HR Information Systems (HRIS) for data management and reporting.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovative solutions to HR challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Adaptability and decisiveness in responding to shifting priorities and making informed decisions.
- Motivated and collaborative, with the ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders to achieve business goals.
- Results-driven, with a strong focus on ownership and continuous process improvement.
This HR Manager role requires regular travel to retail stores, ensuring you remain connected with the business and can provide hands-on HR support where needed. You will play an integral part in shaping HR strategy and processes for our retail operations, working closely with regional and senior management teams.
