HR Operations Manager

Reed HR seeking a HR Operations Manager to join the busy and growing Human Resources team of a Financial Services company based in Central London. This role is ideal for a professional with a collaborative and adaptable work ethic, a drive for success, and a strong background in HR generalist roles.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees and line managers on all HR queries, supporting the Director of HR with day-to-day operational duties.
  • Manage and support managers with Employee Relations Casework, including grievances and disciplinaries, escalating to the Director of HR when necessary.
  • Provide in-house HR advice and support, ensuring consistent application of company policies and prompt resolution of HR queries.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to enhance HR system functionality across various modules such as onboarding, talent management, and performance management.
  • Oversee and monitor staff performance, career development, and appraisal processes.
  • Maintain personnel files in compliance with GDPR and data protection regulations.
  • Identify and organise training courses, both internally and externally.
  • Exercise judgment and independently take appropriate action within defined HR policies and procedures.
  • Support the annual appraisal process and contribute to HR project work.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Generalist HR experience, including supervisory experience.
  • Previous experience in an SME, startup, or similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining HR policies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • CIPD qualification is desirable.
  • Extensive work experience at a generalist level.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and good practice in HR.
  • Experience across all aspects of HR, including learning and development, employee relations, and benefits.
