We are seeking a Service Design Lead for Employee Services to provide leadership and foster a culture of innovation, standardisation, and value-for-money. This role is ideal for someone with a proven track record in service design and implementation within a modern Shared Services or Global Business Services (GBS) environment. The successful candidate will lead the development of service designs from hire to retire, ensuring seamless employee experiences.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Lead the development and integration of service designs, focusing on the employee lifecycle from hire to retire.
  • Foster a culture of critical thinking and innovation, aligning with organisational values and strategies.
  • Manage task assignments, milestones, and deliverables with team members, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.
  • Process Design and Improvement: Design and refine processes for specific employee scenarios such as onboarding, maternity leave, performance reviews, leave management, employee transfers etc.
  • Proactively identify risks and develop contingency plans, escalating complex issues to the Portfolio Manager as necessary.
  • Engage in continuous improvement by conducting gap analyses and collating data to support data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to implement tangible changes that enhance customer experiences.
  • Operate effectively under pressure within tight time constraints and occasionally limited budgets.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in service design and implementation, preferably within a Shared Services or GBS environment.
  • Operational experience and knowledge of cloud-based applications like Oracle Fusion are desirable but not mandatory.
  • Strong ability to manage and engage a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to challenge current practices and develop innovative solutions.
  • Experience working in large, complex organisations.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to promote an outcome-focused, collaborative culture.
