Your new companyYou will be working for a financial services firm in Central London.You will be working on a hybrid working model with an expectation to be in their London offices 3 days per week with the remaining 2 days as WFH.Your new roleYou will be working as an ER/HR Advisor for an initial 12 month FTC.You will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR guidance and support to managers and employees across various HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, and organisational policy interpretation. You will play a key role in fostering a positive work environment, resolving conflicts, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and supporting strategic HR initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on a wide range of HR matters, including policy interpretation, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Investigate and resolve employee complaints and grievances, ensuring fair and impartial handling of cases.
- Conduct thorough and objective investigations into employee relations issues, gathering relevant information and conducting interviews as necessary.
- Guide and support managers to address performance related concerns and support the development of action plans that align with business goals and HR best practices.
- Mediate and facilitate discussions between employees and management to resolve conflicts and improve working relationships.
- Assist in the development, review, and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and practices, ensuring alignment with employment laws and organisational values.
- Stay updated with employment laws and regulations, providing guidance to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.
- Provide coaching and training to managers on a range of HR practices, including employee relations, conflict resolution, and effective absence and performance management.
- Develop and deliver employee relations training programs to promote positive employee relations, engagement, and understanding of HR policies.
- Analyse HR data, including employee relations trends to identify areas of improvement and recommend proactive solutions.
- Monitor employee morale and engagement levels, proposing initiatives to improve employee satisfaction.
- Support the implementation of disciplinary procedures and processes, ensuring consistency and fairness in their application.
- Collaborate closely with HR, Legal and Leadership teams to ensure consistent interpretation and application of HR policies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation for employee relations, as well as other HR records.
- Contribute to broader HR projects and initiatives that enhance the overall employee experience, including onboarding, performance management, and policy development.
What you'll need to succeedIn order to succeed in this role, you will have previous experience in a HR generalist role where you will have had a strong focus on employee relations cases.
