Ashley Kate are delighted to be supporting one of our clients, based in London as they look to recruit for a full time, permanent, HR/ People Advisor to join their team.
The salary for this role is £40k per annum plus a £4k travel allowance.
Hybrid working is available - 1 day per week from home.
HR/ People Advisor:
Responsibilities include:
- Employee Relations Case Management - proactively advising and supporting Line Managers regarding ER employment issues such as sickness absence, performance management etc.
- Carrying out case reviews assessing risk and advising accordingly. Identify and escalate high risk issues to Head of People and key stakeholders
- Provide timely and accurate advice to line managers in get involved in the ER process, procedures, policy and employment law risk.
- Provide advice, support and development to increase line manager competence, professionalism and consistency of approach on ER issues, including absence, disciplinary, performance and grievance
- Support restructures, settlements and other business change processes with people impact.
- Support with People Policy development and tools particularly in the areas of employee relations, performance and recruitment.
- Analysis of ER data, business insights and trend analysis
- Create and maintain accurate documentation, trackers, and data. Data analysis production and reporting as required.
- Provide and facilitate training to Line Managers as required.
- Collaborate with other members of the People Team to complete team tasks to include record keeping, contracts, offer letters, accuracy of forms and paperwork, training and records etc.
Experience required:
- Relevant experience either working as an ER advisor / ER case management or generalist HR Advisor role with high level of ER exposure.
- CIPD L7 qualified, essential.
- A solid understanding of UK employment legislation.
- Experience and ability to set up and support ER meetings, being able to take proficient notes and provide on the spot advice
- Previous experience of managing grievance and disciplinary processes
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data, trends, and insights.
- Demonstration of proactive commercially based approach to case management and risk
- Experience of supporting Business Change initiatives such as restructures
- Experience working closely with stakeholders effectively, resolving issues and understanding drivers/needs, building good relationships
- Ability to understand when to escalate more complex issues.
- Experience of writing outcome letters, succinct reports and recommendation papers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good knowledge of working with Microsoft Office products, HR systems.
