We are working with an established facilities company, and they are recruiting for an ER Advisor / HR Advisor to join the business.

Hybrid role - 4 days office (or on site) and 1 day working home, with flexibility to manage your own diary.

This role would be ideal for a seasoned HR Advisor who has strong ER experience who has experience supporting a blue-collar client group. There is excellent opportunity to develop and take on more responsibility, with progression opportunities of moving into a HR Business Partner.

The role will involve regular travel to various sites across central London and support the client group, and the role comes with a travel allowance of c£3000 which provides free travel for zones 1-4 (taking the remuneration upto c£41,000).

Reporting into the HR Manager, the role will focus on supporting the business with a range of advisory matters and supporting on a high volume and wide range of ER cases. The role is 90% ER focused and 10% supporting on HR projects, L&D and wider areas of HR. Key responsibilities and duties include;

  • Reporting into the HR Manager, working as part of a team of 7 people and supporting a client group of 700 employees (c2200 in total across multiple London based sites).

  • Support the business with all HR advisory matters, providing advice, guidance, and coaching
  • Giving advice and dealing with a range of ER cases, including grievances, disciplinaries, long term sick, absence management, performance management etc
  • Serve as an advisor, coach and partner to managers and stakeholders
  • Oversee and conduct grievance, disciplinary and appeal Hearings, including investigations
  • Support the business with redundancy, consultation, and performance meetings as well as assist with TUPE consultations.
  • Keep up to date with employment law and ensure that the company is legally compliant
  • Manage inductions
  • Liaise with employee Union representatives on cases
  • Liaise with ACAS and our Company Solicitor in regard to tribunal matters
  • Providing data/ reports on case numbers
  • Supporting the HR manager with various HR projects, including HR systems, restructures, and L&D initiatives to train and upskill managers
  • Dealing with Ad hoc HR areas that may arise

For this role candidates will need to have proven HR Advisor and ER experience at this level, and ideally have exposure working in an industry that is predominantly a blue-collar client group.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues.
