The firm

Our client is an established global law firm that has expanded through strategic growth to become a full-service, multidisciplinary practice. They provide tailored, partner-led strategic advice and efficient, cost-effective legal services to UK and international clients.

The role

In your new role as HR Advisor, you will be working alongside another HR Advisor to provide a full HR service to the London office. You will be supporting designated practice groups within the firm and supporting office-wide projects. This is a generalist role, your duties will include:

  • Acting as Business Partner to the London office providing HR generalist support.
  • Supporting the Head of HR in managing employee relations issues within the office when they arise.
  • Managing the annual business services appraisal processes.
  • Conducting new joiner and exit interviews across the office.
  • Managing the maternity & paternity process for the London office.
  • Managing the lateral recruitment process for associates and support staff.
  • Assisting other members of the team when required.

What do you need?

In order to be successful in this role you will need:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, including shareholders.
  • Good working knowledge of HR practices at an advisory level is essential (ideally within a legal or professional services environment).
  • Experience of managing employee relations cases.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
