Role Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced HR professional to handle complex employee relations cases, particularly those related to sickness absence management. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, developing strategies to reduce sickness levels while collaborating with Occupational Health and trade unions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce short- and long-term sickness absences.
  • Provide specialist advice to managers on complex absence cases.
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders, including Occupational Health professionals and trade unions.
  • Design and deliver training programs to support managers in handling sickness absences.
  • Provide monthly and quarterly KPI reports on case management and sickness absence trends.
Essential Requirements:
  • Proven track record in employee relations, sickness absence management, TUPE, or other HR projects.
  • Experience in managing employee relations issues within a large organization.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and regulations.
  • Previous experience within the public sector.
  • CIPD qualification and/or evidence of CPD (Continuing Professional Development).
