  • Assists Head of HR UK in core functional areas of Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Onboarding/Offboarding and provides backup support for Compensation Administration and Benefits.
  • Line manager to HR Assistant, providing day to day leadership, direction and guidance.
  • Creates reports around key HR metrics and conducts analytics on people data/produces insights for trend identification and proposes solutions.
  • Identifies areas for continuous improvement of HR services and processes and assists the team with development and implementation.
  • Provides input and support for the preparation and maintaining of employee policies and procedures.
  • Continuously updates own knowledge of progressive HR practices and key trends.
  • Maintains current knowledge of legal requirements regulations which impact human resource functions and ensures advice, policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Ensures all employee matters are handled with professionalism, integrity, high levels of service, consistency and fairness
  • Manages the annual performance appraisal mechanism and maintains an up-to-date talent management/succession plan
  • Manages employee engagement surveys and activity and builds/implements plans to close gaps/resolve issues/improve morale across the business units.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of:

  • Company's working structure, policies, mission, and strategies.
  • Latest innovations and trends in HR management to maximise impact.
  • Interviewing and candidate evaluation processes, including the expert use of technology and social media to source talent.
  • Broad knowledge of HR best practices.
  • Legal requirements and regulations related to employment.
  • Facilitation, presentation and training methods/techniques.
  • Statistical methods, concepts and other analytical tools used in HR reporting.

Skill and experience in:

  • Delivering clear and effective written materials and presentations
  • Using key social media platforms to acquire talent and position the organisation as an attractive place to work.
  • Analysing HR data with the ability to draw conclusions and insights and recommend solutions (intermediate expert in Excel).
  • Building relationships with internal clients
  • Interpreting and applying legal statutes and applicable rules and regulations to moderately complex human resource issues and problems.
  • Providing appropriate recommendations for resolution of simple/moderately complex employment and employee relations issues.
  • Organising, managing, and tracking multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Using appropriate interpersonal styles and methods of communication with all organisational levels such that messages are not having to be 'rescued' by others.
  • Working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Keeping all appropriate parties up-to-date on decisions, changes, and other relevant information.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others so that HR and its impact is perceived positively.
