HR Business Partner, Group

Your New Role
The new HR Business Partner, Group will be responsible for delivering proactive, commercial, and effective HR partnering to enable the strategic priorities of Hays. This role supports several of our Group functions, for example Technology, Group Finance, Group Marketing, Group People, Company Secretariat & Legal, and Group Product, Innovation & Data.
Reporting into the Head of HR. Group you will act as a thinking partner, key advisor and collaborator to these senior management teams, many of which are in different phases of evolution and change. You will work closely with them to shape, develop and deliver HR plans and solutions that drive the required business outcomes, enhancing employee experience and fostering a high performing culture.
Key Result Areas:
Business Relationships & Strategic People Planning
- Build and maintain key business relationships with key stakeholders and the wider People team
- Understand the business challenges, opportunities and context of the areas you support to ensure that you are a valued thinking partner, developing fit for purpose people plans and delivering relevant advice and guidance
- Provide advice and guidance to the leaders on employment matters, influencing management around the people agenda to maximise performance
- Understand and input into the future organisation design for business functions, providing information and data to support OD decisions and lead the planning and delivery of associated people changes
- Act as a change agent by supporting organisational changes such as restructuring, or process improvements
Performance Management & Development
- Champion a high-performance culture through the effective management of goals/performance reviews, personal development plans etc.
- Support managers in conducting performance discussions and implementing performance improvement plans when necessary, building managers knowledge, skills and behaviours to create high performing teams
Talent Management & Recruitment
- Support the delivery of fit for purpose onboarding and induction to colleagues in Group teams
- Review exit data to identify areas for improvement where appropriate
- Collaborate with business to embed our talent strategies, succession plans, and workforce planning to ensure the right talent is in place to meet current and future business needs
- Identify high-potential employees and ensure development plans are in place to nurture their skills and career growth.
Knowledge, qualifications and experience
- Experience operating as a HR business partner to senior stakeholders, ideally in a federated global organisation going through organisation change around processes, technology and people
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, able to communicate and partner effectively with a variety of stakeholders in different functions
- Good commercial acumen, leadership and transformational skills
- Experience of delivery of Organisation Design change and other people-impacting change projects
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Pragmatic: able to deliver HR guidance in a fast paced, complex environment, and communicates clearly and openly to win support.
- Able to problem solve and challenge the 'norm' whilst operating to HR best practice guidelines
- Comfortable with analysing data, identifying trends and making appropriate recommendations
- CIPD qualified desirable but not essential
