A well established, global business are looking for a seasoned HR Consultant to join them to lead a full audit of their UK HR function. This role would suit an experienced HR Business Partner, HR Manager or HR Generalist with a solid UK employment law background. With circa 80 employees in their UK office, they require a hands-on HR professional to review policies, assess current HR practices, and implement compliance measures in line with UK employment law.

As the HR Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in assessing their current HR framework, ensuring full compliance, and identifying areas for improvement. You will conduct a comprehensive HR audit, evaluating existing policies, procedures, and employee documentation to pinpoint compliance risks and operational gaps. A key focus of your role will be to review and update HR policies, contracts, and employee handbooks, ensuring they align with the latest employment laws and industry best practices. Beyond compliance, you will develop a strategic roadmap to guide the organisation towards a more structured and legally sound HR function.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will provide insights and recommendations to align HR processes with legal requirements and business objectives, ensuring a seamless and compliant HR operation. Your expertise will contribute directly to strengthening our client's HR framework, enhancing efficiency, and supporting the company’s long-term people strategy.

Requirements:

Proven experience in UK HR compliance and policy development

Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices - CIPD qualification advantageous

Ability to audit, assess, and implement improvements efficiently

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Available for an immediate start on a 3-month contract

This role is part of a coordinated global HR effort, running alongside a similar project in our US office.
