We are seeking two HR Officer with a focus on employee relations to join the HR & Training team at Greater London Authority. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising on a range of ER cases, including probation, disciplinary, capability, resolution, and sickness absence, and will support line managers in line with relevant ER policies.

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with possibility of further extensions)

Day to day of the role:

  • Provide advice on the application of HR Policy, including disciplinary, resolution, sickness absence, and other employment issues.
  • Attend meetings, take minutes, and maintain records as required.
  • Manage the ER casework inbox, responding to queries and work alongside the ER Casework Advisor.
  • Support managers with Occupational Health referrals and review sickness absence data.
  • Monitor the end of fixed-term contract processes and workplace adjustment activity.
  • Maintain trackers for ER casework and workplace adjustments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in ER casework, ideally within a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of HR policies and procedures related to ER.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficient in using HR systems and maintaining accurate records.
