Our client, a well established, leading Multi Academy Trust now has an opportunity for an experienced HR Professional with knowledge and understanding of HR and Compliance within the education sector, to join them on a permanent basis.

Based from the Trust's head office in West London, as HR & Compliance Business Partner you will support the HR Director and work closely with key leaders across the Trust, including the Principals of each academy situated across the South of England.

The responsibilities for this role are wide and varied and will focus on further developing and implementing the Trust's policies relating to HR and key areas of compliance and delivering excellent, up to date, advice and service on all matters relating to HR and specified areas of compliance.

As HR & Compliance Business Partner you'll also support in-school HR Officers in the provision of a HR advisory service to their academies, act as a guardian of Trust HR policies, maintain and develop systems of performance management, manage the HRIS, support and coach leaders to effectively manage employee relations issues, provide due diligence and transition support (including TUPE) for new academies joining the Trust, support trade union meetings and much more!

This is a stimulating role that will suit an experienced and credible HR Generalist who can inspire confidence among senior stakeholders and colleagues and who possesses the drive to improve performance and deliver outstanding results and excellent service.

To be considered you will require:

  • Full CIPD qualification or working towards qualification, or equivalent HR experience
  • Sound knowledge of current HR legislation
  • Expertise in a breadth of areas relevant to employment in the schools education sector, e.g. frameworks for staff pay and benefits, conditions of employment, staff representation and professional conduct
  • Demonstrable understanding of key organisational processes relating to HR and compliance (e.g. systems for data storage, communications, governance and HR policies)
  • Experience of providing complex employee relations/generalist HR advice and guidance to senior leaders, gained in an educational, local government or other public sector setting
  • Experience of using and managing an HR Information System
  • Experience of implementing Public Sector pay awards
  • Experience of developing positive and effective working relationships with Trade Unions
  • Experience of supporting TUPE
