Cedar are looking for a Workday HR Transformation Project Manager with a strong background in the insurance sector. We are looking for a Workday HR Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end delivery of Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) and associated modules, ensuring alignment with HR, payroll, and regulatory compliance requirements.
This role will work closely with stakeholders across HR, IT, payroll, compliance, and finance, as well as external Workday consultants, to optimise processes and enhance HR service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Workday HCM Implementation: Lead the full Workday HCM roll-out, including Core HCM, Talent & Performance, Absence & Time Tracking, Compensation, Payroll, and Benefits.
- HR Transformation & Process Optimisation: Drive best-practice HR processes using Workday, ensuring efficiency in talent management, on boarding, payroll integration, and employee self-service.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Collaborate with HR, IT, finance, compliance, and third-party Workday consultants to ensure seamless adoption of the system.
- Compliance & Regulatory Requirements: Ensure Workday supports UK employment law, GDPR, FCA/PRA regulatory requirements, and payroll compliance, particularly for international employees.
- Workday Integrations & Data Management: Oversee integrations between Workday HCM, payroll systems, benefits providers, and finance platforms, ensuring data accuracy and security.
- Training & Change Management: Develop a structured change management plan to drive user adoption, including training programmes for HR teams, managers, and employees.
- HR Reporting & Analytics: Leverage Workday Prism Analytics and Adaptive Planning to deliver workforce insights, diversity & inclusion metrics, and predictive HR analytics.
- Budget & Project Governance: Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets, ensuring cost-effective delivery and alignment with wider HR and business transformation goals.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience leading Workday HCM implementations or major enhancements within a corporate, financial services, or insurance environment.
- Strong knowledge of Workday Core HCM, Absence, Time Tracking, Compensation, Payroll, Talent & Performance, and Workday integrations.
- Experience working with UK employment law, GDPR, payroll compliance, and regulatory HR reporting (e.g., FCA/PRA requirements).
- Expertise in HR transformation and process optimisation, improving talent acquisition, onboarding, workforce planning, and employee engagement.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage HR, payroll, IT, and finance teams across different locations.
- Knowledge of Workday security roles, workflows, and business process frameworks.
- Experience in change management and user adoption strategies within HR technology transformations.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies, with experience using tools like Jira, MS Project, or Workday Project Management.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret HR data and leverage Workday reporting and analytics for business insights.
