School HR Officer

Location: East London

About Us:

I am representing a school in East London who are looking for a HR Officer.

Position Summary:

As a School HR Officer, you will be responsible for managing the HR functions of the school, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with employment laws and school policies. You will work closely with the leadership team to ensure a positive and productive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the recruitment and onboarding process for new staff.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and personnel files.
  • Provide advice and support on HR policies and procedures.
  • Oversee employee relations and handle HR-related queries.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and school policies.
  • Support performance management and professional development initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in an HR role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment law.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of organisational and administrative skills.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent is desirable.
