HR officer - Education

An Ofsted rated 'Good' school in the borough of Hackney are seeking to appoint a full time HR officer to join the team. The school prides itself on trust and respect that inspires resilience, ambition success for all. The school have around 1000 pupils on roll and is a short walk from Hackney Central station or suitable for a driver.

Responsibilities

  • Manage recruitment and on boarding processes for staff
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Provide support and guidance on HR policies and procedures
  • Facilitate staff training and professional development programs
  • Assist in performance management and appraisals
  • Handle employee relations and resolve workplace issues
  • Support initiatives for diversity and inclusion within the school
  • Ensure adherence to safeguarding policies and procedures

Required skills and responsibilities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to form positive relationships.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail for record-keeping.
  • Knowledge of employment law and confidentiality practices.
