If you are looking for a role which offers the variety of work that a global business brings, but as part of a much smaller HR team where your contribution is valued, then this role will be perfect for you. This small but quickly growing HR team could not wait to tell me how the arrival of a new and inspirational HR Director has transformed the way they work and the career opportunities available to them.

Working as a Senior HR Executive in a small team you will be working closely with the Head of HR on a number of new projects as the business continues to grow at pace. I placed the Head of HR last year and she is an amazing mentor and highly respected by the team, as well as great fun. Speaking with her about her new role, she was quick to mention that through hard work and steady growth, the team is now recognised by the business as offering a first-class service. She continued by saying that working within a non-hierarchical company allows them all to be a true partner to the business, and in developing close relationships they have established trusted advisor status and credibility with senior stakeholders and managers.

Meeting the rest of the team I could tell immediately that they were all very passionate about working in an organisation where they felt valued. As the firm continues to grow, many of them felt that this would allow them to develop their career and offer a unique opportunity to get involved in rewarding HR projects which are firmly on the agenda for the next twelve months.

Unlike highly matrixed corporate businesses, there are no teams of specialists and as a result they are able to offer a full Generalist role and plenty of variety. You will no longer be overlooked for promotion as they are keen to help you develop your career and progress with them for the long term.

This is not a long hours culture, but very much a hard work culture, and you will take ultimate responsibility for all people based activity within the organisation from both an operational and strategic perspective. This will include managing the day-to-day HR operations as well as delivering on the strategic projects. Practical HR solutions are essential, along with a passion for working in a 'client focused' environment.
