Are you a skilled and immediately available Compensation and Benefits Specialist? Are you happy to redesign bonus structures and work alongside an outsourced payroll function to deliver information?

Our Insurance client has a fabulous opportunity for an immediately available, home-based candidate to join their HR function for a 2-month period. Expectation to travel will only be in the early part of the contract as a means of introduction to your HR colleague, the business and the role requirements.

You will develop and implement a competitive compensation and benefits program to attract and retain top talent. Your responsibilities will include ensuring fair employee compensation and comprehensive benefits packages.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with industry standards and company objectives.
  • Conduct job evaluations and market analysis to determine appropriate salary ranges and benefits packages for various positions within the organization.
  • Manage the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, finance, and legal, to ensure effective communication and coordination of compensation and benefits initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to HR team members and managers regarding compensation and benefits-related matters.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation related to compensation and benefits programs.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of compensation and benefits principles, practices, and trends.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data.
  • Proficiency in using HR information systems and compensation software tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • In-depth understanding of relevant employment laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Compensation and Benefits Specialist or similar role
  • Extensive knowledge of designing and managing compensation and benefits programs.
  • Familiarity with relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
