Business Analyst (Rail Sector Experience Required)

Are you a dynamic and experienced Business Analyst with a solid background in the rail sector? Do you have a passion for driving change and shaping the future of a public-owned railway? If so, we are keen to hear from you.

Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to support business change, continuous improvement, and efficient IT architecture design in preparation for the transition to a public-owned structure.

Key Responsibilities

As a Business Analyst, you will:

  • Provide administrative support to the Project Manager and Sponsor to deliver business change requirements.
  • Design and implement data maps, systems, and controls to meet project objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify gaps in data processes and develop improved reporting and data-sharing solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in data collection processes, aligning with the broader data strategy.
  • Establish governance and process controls to support the transition process effectively.

About You

We're looking for someone with the following:

Experience

  • Confident working with the full O365 platform suite.
  • Proven experience in railway operations, key data management, and reporting timeframes.
  • Experience building and managing SharePoint lists.

Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of the Microsoft Platform stack, including SharePoint, Power BI, and PowerApps.
  • Familiarity with railway terms and conditions (desirable).

Skills & Competencies

  • Quick learner with a strong grasp of systems and processes.
  • Flexible, responsive, and able to handle planned and unplanned priorities.
  • Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
