Business Analyst, SC Cleared
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our IT transformation team, focusing on obsolescence management. The ideal candidate will gather business requirements, assess risks, and define structured work packages for the remediation of obsolete hardware, operating systems, and applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, business owners, and vendors, to ensure that all remediation efforts align with business priorities, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
Rate - £540.00 per day inside ir35
Location - London - remote working model
Duration - 6/12 Months with opportunity of extension
Key Responsibilities
Obsolescence Assessment & Data Gathering:
- Work with IT teams to identify, document, and assess obsolete hardware, operating systems, and applications.
- Analyse vendor road maps, support contracts, and business dependencies to evaluate the business impact of obsolescence.
- Develop and maintain a centralised inventory and risk register to track obsolescence-related risks, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
Facilitating Requirements Workshops:
- Organise and lead workshops with business owners, application teams, and IT teams to gather and clarify business and technical requirements for system upgrades or replacements.
- Capture functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring they align with business objectives, security policies, and compliance standards.
- Document and prioritise remediation options based on impact, feasibility, and business value.
Work Package Definition & Documentation:
- Define structured work packages, breaking down remediation tasks, responsibilities, and time lines.
- Provide clear and comprehensive documentation to support the implementation teams, stakeholders, and decision-makers throughout the remediation process.
- Track and report on the progress of work packages, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
Key Skills
- Business Analysis Expertise: Proven experience as a Business Analyst, particularly in IT transformation, obsolescence management, or similar projects.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT systems, including hardware, operating systems, and applications. Ability to gather and interpret technical and business requirements related to obsolescence.
- Facilitation & Workshops: Experience organising and leading cross-functional workshops with business and IT teams to capture requirements and determine remediation strategies.
- Work Package Definition: Ability to define clear and structured work packages, ensuring that tasks, responsibilities, and time-lines are well-documented and communicated.
- Documentation & Reporting: Proficiency in using documentation and data analysis tools to track progress, manage risks, and report to stakeholders.
- Active SC Clearance due to current time frames
