DLP Business Data Analyst

Contract Rate: £450-£500 p/d Neg (Outside IR35)

Location: London (Hybrid)

Business Data Analyst with experience of DLP within a cloud-based Microsoft technology environment. The right candidate will have a deep understanding of data loss prevention requirements gathering and associated techniques and a solid grasp of Microsoft Purview technology. The role requirements also span conventional business analysis techniques.

The ideal candidate will conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis across various projects to optimize company growth and business. You will manipulate datasets, create financial models, and summarize findings in a succinct manner for client's usage.

Core responsbilities:

  • Collect data loss prevention requirements and work with the Data Protection team to improve enterprise systems and processes.
  • Monitor DLP alerts and work with the InfoSec team to refine policies accordingly.
  • Research business processes, making reports with recommendations to the company’s management
  • Analyse the potential impact of their recommendations.
  • Analyse the structure of a business to determine how it operates and determine its objectives
  • Identify any problems with the current business model
  • Design potential solutions to any problems identified during the research phase
  • Prepare and delivering a report of their findings to leadership with comprehensive risk and impact assessment
  • Develop comprehensive end-to-end (E2E) test cases at the application and multi-application levels
  • Oversee the implementation of approved process improvements
  • Monitor and oversee the IT team members
  • Carry out training sessions and workshops to guide relevant teams
  • Carry out periodic quality checks
  • Compile data into actionable reports
  • Prepare pitch and presentation materials
  • Work collaboratively with team members
  • Think strategically about improving company operations

Experience requirements:

  • 5+ years working within a Business Analyst / Business Data Analyst role.
  • 5+ years’ experience working with data in a related field, specifically data loss prevention, covering requirements analysis.
  • 5+ experience or working within a cloud-based Microsoft technology environment.
  • Extensive experience of working with Microsoft Purview.
  • Extensive experience of data lakes and data stores: S3 or Snowflake.
  • Extensive experience of M365 estate, Azure and / or AWS

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related discipline
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
