We are looking for a Commercial Specification Manager to join the UKs leading builders' merchant for sustainable building materials.

You will focus on developing strong relationships with architects to ensure the Balcony, Terrace, and Flooring solutions are specified for key projects. You will play a key role in supporting architects by providing expert advice and helping them identify the best products for their designs.

Working Monday to Friday, hybrid remote working is available with this role.

Responsibilities:

-Collaborate with architects and engineers to understand project requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.

-Build and maintain a strong network of architects and industry professionals to promote the products and develop partnerships within the commercial construction sector.

-Deliver and contribute to a library of CPDs, alongside attending workshops, conferences, webinars, and occasional evening networking events.

-Serve as a primary point of contact for architects, responding to inquiries, providing product details, and assisting with selecting the best solutions for their projects.

-Offer technical support during the specification and design phases to ensure the products align with project needs.

-Keep up to date with industry trends, building regulations, and market developments to ensure the products remain relevant and innovative.

-Represent the company at industry events and conferences to raise awareness of the brand and solutions.

-Work with the marketing team to create materials that effectively communicate the technical specifications of the building products.

Essential requirements:

-Experience working with architects or within the commercial construction sector.

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with architects.

-Organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.

-Ability to understand and interpret architectural plans and drawings.

-A general interest in sustainability and the built environment, with a focus on helping architects achieve their design goals.

The position offers a competitive salary between £50k - £55k, negotiable depending on experience, plus commission pay, hybrid working, free parking, cycle to work scheme, pension, sick pay etc.
