2nd Line Engineer - Service Desk (City of London)

Our client, an awarding with IT MSP based in the heart of the city of London. They are responsible for supporting some of London's top financial clients. They are looking for an experienced 2nd Line Support Engineer to come and join their team and eventually take responsibility for a team of excellent engineers.

Experience:

  • Proven experience delivering high-quality on-site support to clients.
  • Expertise in maintaining and administering cloud-based solutions (Microsoft Azure, Office 365).
  • Strong technical background with Microsoft technologies (Office 365, EMS, SharePoint, Active Directory, Windows Server/Desktop).
  • Extensive experience supporting senior executive end-users.
  • Financial sector experience with platforms like Bloomberg, OMS, and PMS preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years in a similar role.

Duties:

  • Resolve ongoing incidents and perform scheduled/emergency activities on client sites.
  • Manage the life-cycle of service events from end-users.
  • Provide remote/on-site end-user support to troubleshoot equipment/system issues.
  • Assist with equipment setup for new hires and departures.
  • Research and develop solutions for identified problems.
  • Deliver technical support within Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Keep end-users informed about incident/request progress and resolutions.
  • Maintain end-user services and support specialized IT equipment.
  • Restore normal service operations quickly to minimize business impact.
  • Participate in projects to support business changes.
  • Manage incident, problem, change, and configuration processes for continual service improvement.
  • Develop and maintain customer technical site documentation.
  • Promote cyber awareness within the customer community to protect assets and data.
