Application Support Analyst - Sought by Investment bank based in London - Contract - Hybrid

An Application Support Analyst is an IT professional who provides technical support cross a wide spectrum of in-house and vendor software used by the business. Typically as part of an application support team, the Application Support Analyst needs both technical knowledge and "people" skills to do their job well to enable the team to meet the needs of the business given how interwoven technology and the business world have become.Duties and Responsibilities
- BAU / Triage - 1st line support to ensure integrity and availability of supported applications for internal and external customers - Primary Role
- Become SME for a number of existing or new applications as required - Primary role
- Follow documented Procedures to resolve service desk tickets
- Plan, prepare and deliver project requirements
- Provide Audit and compliance information as requested
- Manage other ad-hoc tasks as and when requested by Management
- Manage service desk requests to ensure SLA's are met
- Prepare system support documentation as required
- Manage Vendor relationships as necessary
- Manage upgrades / patching to ensure supported software is in place
- Manage Communication with Business Ops to resolve issues and provide feedback
- Dealing with HO and branches as required
- Team members are expected to work a 2 shift system 07:00 start time to cover start of day and 10:00 to provide cover until 18:00
- Out of hours work will be required for some weekends and evenings for upgrades, project releases and production fixes
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- 2 Years+ application support experience - Essential
- Experience working in a medium-large sized company, supporting at least 1000 users - Essential
- Become SME for a number of existing or new applications as required
- windows / SQL, - Essential
- SWIFT knowledge - Desirable
- MQ support / Admin - Desirable
- Financial experience - Required
- Front Office Experience - Essential
- Virtual Environment Management - Exposure
- Splunk exposure - Desirable
- SQL Statement writing - Essential
- Management of change in a complex environment - Essential
- Working across multiple branches to support Key applications - Essential
