Application Support Specialist, SQLOur client, a leading financial services organisation, is looking to hire an application support analyst to provide 2nd level Application support for a range of vendor and internally developed financial applications.

Supported applications are a mixture of vendor applications & internal applications running in a Windows Server environment with SQL databases.

Relevant experience within a Financial services organisation and/or a highly pressured support environments is preferred. Experience within an ITIL environment essential.

Please note:3 days a week on-site.Engagement via umbrella company only.General responsibilities: -

  • Incident Management: Identify and categorise incidents, recognise incidents, issues and unplanned events that could affect service quality or operations.
  • Work with vendors to identify issues and provide solution within the target SLA.
  • Engage with stakeholders.
  • Design proactive plans to respond to incidents in real-time.
  • Track, resolve, identify and fix vulnerabilities
  • Monitoring Alerts and Batch reporting - review and investigate alerts and end of day/month batches to identify risks.
  • Application maintenance
  • Find problems with applications/integrations based on user feedback and complaints.
  • Fix problems by applying updates, patches, or new releases.
