We are seeking a motivated and reliable DT Technician to support the delivery of high-quality DT education. Key Responsibilities:- Support the Design & Technology department with preparation and maintenance of materials and equipment.
- Set up and clear away equipment for lessons, ensuring everything is ready for teaching.
- Assist with the safe use of tools, machinery, and resources in the classroom.
- Provide technical support during practical lessons, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment.
- Maintain the stock of resources, including ordering materials and keeping an inventory of tools.
- Help ensure that health and safety standards are adhered to at all times.
- Assist in the preparation of teaching resources and materials for lessons.
- Help with administrative tasks, including filing and keeping records up to date.
- A keen interest in Design & Technology or a similar subject.
- Previous technician experience is preferred but not essential.
- A DBS check on the update service is required.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with students and staff.
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn on the job.
