Service Desk Manager required by an established company in East London/Essex borders paying upto 50k + 3k car allowance. We require a Service Desk Manager with at least 3 years experience in Service Desk Management within an ITIL environment.
It is an office based role, 40 hours a week 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
A driving license is necessary due to their sites and services that may require visits within the London area
To strengthen the team, they are looking to recruit an experienced Service Desk Lead / Manager to hold responsibility for managing a Service Desk of 5.
This is a hands-on role and has direct responsibility for supporting existing and emerging ICT services at head office and remote sites. You'll be the person who provides technical advice to the business and will be the key person to configure, install and maintain the IT equipment and services.
This role would ideally suit someone who is currently a hands-on manager or team leader looking for a new challenge.
What you'll be doing
- Line management of small service desk team, including resources and work allocation
- Hands-on technical trouble shooting
- Define and document 1st and 2nd line standard operating procedures
- Mentoring and training of service desk team
- Supporting the role out of new hardware, applications and systems
What you'll need
- At least 3 years experience in a similar role
- Strong in supporting Windows OS Enterprise
- Strong knowledge of using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- Experience in troubleshooting Microsoft 365 apps and cloud client technologies and applications
- Experience in using IT Service management software within an ITIL environment
- Understanding of Anti-virus technologies
- Understanding of network technologies (LAN, WAN, WiFi)
