Reed Secure are working with large public sector organisation who are looking to recruit User Support Specialists

  • Location: SE26 (Office based only)
  • Duration: contract up to April 2025
  • Salary: £21.21 per hour PAYE / £26.94 per hour Umbrella
  • Start date: ASAP (depending on vetting - approx. 6 months from vetting application submission)
  • Shift pattern - 24/7 shift working is essential - 12h Shifts (shifts example: 2 days - 7am - 7pm, 2 days 7pm - 7am, 4 non-working days)

Skills Profile:• Previous Police experience is desirable, but not essential.• The role holder will demonstrate competence in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Box, MS Teams and competent keyboard skills.• Ability to communicate at all levels with Police• To provide support to all MPS users through email, telephone call, chat and face to face contact as determined by the Team Managers.• To offer advice to officers regarding the CONNECT, COPA system, national file build and other CJ related matters.• Re-keying of new case file information into CONNECT and CMS, or the updating of existing information in COPA and CMS.

You will be expected to:

  • handle calls from MPS users
  • log issues and create tickets
  • Refer tickets to the correct assignment group

  • Departmental or company records (personnel files, staff reports, sick leave reports and security records)
  • UK criminal records covering both spent and unspent criminal records.
  • Your credit and financial history with a credit reference agency
  • Security Services records
