We are currently seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in scripting and environment configuration using tools like HELM and Terraform. Your role will focus on network management and security, taking responsibility for the day-to-day operations and monitoring of our systems across multicloud environments, primarily Azure with an ideal familiarity with GCP.

Description

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and Support: Oversee the monitoring and first line support of various production environments, ensuring high availability and rapid response to incidents.
  • Infrastructure Automation: Develop and maintain scripts for environment creation and scaling, utilizing DevOps pipelines to manage environments across different geographies efficiently.
  • Network Management: Manage IP whitelisting for VPNs, ensuring correct routing rules are in place to support operations in multiple geographic regions.
  • Security Oversight: Implement and monitor security measures in alignment with cyber intelligence updates, keeping systems protected against the latest threats.
  • DevOps and Scripting: Design and implement DevOps pipelines, employing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate environment spin-ups and scaling configurations.
  • Documentation and Process Management: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, security protocols, and operational procedures.

Profile

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Successful candidates should have the following technical skills:

  • Expertise in cloud platforms, with a strong focus on Azure and an ideal experience in GCP.
  • Proficient in using HELM and Terraform (or equivalent) for environment configuration and deployment.
  • Advanced knowledge of network management, including VPN setups and IP whitelisting.
  • Familiarity with the latest cyber threat intelligence and security best practices.
  • Experience with monitoring tools and setting up customized alerting systems.
  • Relevant certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer are highly regarded.

Understanding of DevOps tools and processes, including CI/CD pipeline setups.

Job Offer

This role is paying up to £85,000 per annum plus bonus and benefits.

This requires 3 days on site and will be a 3 stage interview process.
